Nothing Is Too Hard!
“Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power. ... There is nothing too hard for You.”
—Jeremiah 32:17
Are there some things God cannot do? The answer may surprise you: yes, there are some things that God can’t do.

God cannot, for instance, tell a lie or go back on His promises. Neither can He do something evil or have an impure thought. Why? Because God cannot do anything that is contrary to His basic character. Remember: God is not some vague force like gravity or electricity. He is a person, and He is holy and perfect in His character.

But the Bible’s focus is on what God can do. Not only is He perfect, but He is also absolutely sovereign and all-powerful. And because of that—as Jeremiah wrote—nothing is too hard for Him. If He could bring Jesus back from the dead, can’t He also help you overcome whatever situation you are facing today?

Put whatever burden you are carrying into His hands—because He loves you, and nothing is too hard for Him.
Wisdom for Today

God, You created everything out of nothing. You have healed the sick, opened barren wombs, and robbed the grave of its power. You give joy in the midst of mourning and provide peace in the midst of chaos. Nothing is too difficult for You!
